Juxtaposition of the Three
3-Juxta House
The architecture seeks to impart spatial drama to the daily experience of three families’ living under one roof. The house is a juxtaposition of three different spatial requirements which evolves from a dialogue of opposing forces: a sense of darkness and light, an expression of mass and transparency, and expecting a built language that is fine and robust. The stacking of building volumes is freeing up spaces for a courtyard and a connecting timber deck.
